Peter Nägele

Leader Ginnheimer Lauftreff

Hi, I’m Peter. I’ve always loved to be in motion: As a teenager I played hockey, and since my times in university I am jogging and running wherever my travels take me. Hiking is my other favourite passion, in particular through deserts. I’ve joined Ginnheimer Lauftreff in 2000, and I’ve enjoyed the friendly and open atmosphere right from the start. All can, nothing has to – doing sports here is easy and relaxed. And since we are all different, it is constant learning for me.

After 15 marathons and countless other competitive runs, I today enjoy most the rather quiet and long Sunday runs. The week comes to an end in a sporty-relaxed fashion, clearing the mind. We often explore new running routes, which always gives me a fresh view of the city and the wonderful nature. I lead the club since 2018 and I want to pass on my enthusiasm for running in Ginnheim.

André Roth

André Roth

Hi, I’m André. It all began with the J.P. Morgan Corporate Challenge in 1999. A colleague had just registered me without asking … and now I was under quite some pressure. I thought 5.6k shouldn’t be a problem, so I started preparing, running up and down the Nidda river. Apparently I did almost everything wrong. However, I finished the run and I was really proud about it. So I continued running on my own, until one Tuesday in the Niddapark when I met a group of runners in good spirits. This was my first encounter with Ginnheimer Lauftreff.

Many have since supported and taught me almost everything I know about running. Now, after several competitive runs and marathons, both in the plains and in mountain areas, in Germany and abroad, I want to convey my know-how and experience as a certified running coach. I like to explore new running routes and offer them on Sundays as “Lauf-ins-Blaue” (run into the blue). Perhaps you want to join – I would be delighted.

Heinz-Jürgen Schwarze

Heinz-Jürgen Schwarze

My name is Heinz-Jürgen, I’m connected with Ginnheimer Lauftreff since 1989. Born in Frankfurt and raised in the old city district of Ginnheim, I’ve now run on almost all ways, lanes and tracks we use for our running events in the Niddapark area. I have finished 15 marathons and some half marathons in various cities – my personal highlight was the New York marathon in 2011. In the last ten years alone, I have now run some 15,000k …

Carsten Schwank

Hello, my name is Carsten, the fun of running has been part of my life since childhood. Whether in school sports or in 20 years of youth and amateur football. Despite some sporting injuries, I always found my way back to the right track through running.

I came to Ginnheimer Lauftreff years ago through a colleague at work. The great thing about the Lauftreff is always the fascinating meeting of new, nice and interesting running maniacs. And of course you can learn a lot from the experienced runners. I think everyone interested in sports should get a chance to get excited about running – that’s why I’ve also become a certified running coach and am happy to pass on my knowledge.
